Simply Loft London loft conversions

Once we’ve visited your house for a site survey, agreed a quote and you’ve signed a contract, you’ll have made great strides to getting your dream London loft conversion.

But what happens next? Well, there are still a few steps to go before you have that extra room, but at Simply Loft we pride ourselves on being fast and efficient to ensure you’ll have it in a few short weeks.

Design and Planning

If needed, you can have a visit from one of our architectural team to make a complete survey and produce plans. At this point, we can also assist with building control, submission of plans and structural calculations.

Party Wall Agreement

If your home has a wall which is connected to a neighbouring property on either or both sides, you will require a Party Wall Agreement. This simply means that each affected neighbour will need to be informed with a party wall notice at least two months before the build is due to start. We can advise on this and, if you require it, we can involve one of our certified Party Wall Surveyors.

Build

Now you’ll really see things start to take shape. Once planning permission has been gained and all of the boxes have been ticked, we can begin construction on your loft conversion. Typically, this will take between six and eight weeks depending on the size and scope of your project. It will be up to your Project Manager to keep you informed and to keep everything running to time. You can also use our Simply Dashboard System to keep track yourself.

Completion

The fun part! Once you’ve confirmed you’re happy with all of the work, Simply Loft will issue you with all relevant certification including your building control completion certificates, which you’ll need if you decide to sell your home at a later date. You’ll also be given all the details of our 10-year guarantee so you can rest assured our workmanship is of the best quality.
