Brief: Loft Conversion Maida Vale. To convert two lofts on top of an 8 storey mansion block with a connecting roof terrace; giving the client x2 additional bedrooms, x1 bathroom and a small study area. We also fitted a new kitchen and WC.
Timescale: 12 weeks
This project was carried out at a property called Biddulph Mansions in Maida Vale, London and it was certainly worthy of the name. A large and complex loft conversion in London, the build actually involved the installation of two loft conversions, along with a connecting roof terrace in between.
Thoroughly modern, yet in keeping with the aesthetic of the original property, an apex skylight provided access to a large and beautiful decked roof space with a balcony overlooking the area.
Over the course of 12 weeks, the client was provided with two additional bedrooms, one bathroom and a small study area, perfect for escaping the hubbub of the central house and getting some work done.

Our apologies for taking so long to thank you properly for the outstanding work undertaken to convert our two loft spaces and refurbish/refit our kitchen and dining room into one big space. There aren’t enough superlatives to give justice to the quality of the work from start to finish.
If there was an award for the most patient project manager it would have to go to Kestas, we are delighted you managed our building works as you made it all happen for us and went above and beyond. Rob, you did say it might become unbearable at times, living in the place while all the works went on, however, the whole gang made it bearable for us as they were all so good natured and accommodating, e.g. carrying out work that wouldn’t make too much noise while our two small children slept in the afternoon – Stuart was very grateful for that.
Dangius and his team deserve a special mention as they worked very efficiently in freezing temperatures at the start of the project. I couldn’t believe how quickly they demolished the big chimneybreast in the kitchen with minimal fuss and zero damage to neighboring flats – extraordinary.
Without exception, all visitors we’ve had since the work has completed have been unanimously ‘wowed’ by what they see and impressed with the workmanship (Peter’s neat work to fit drawers into the steps to the roof terrace always gets a big thumbs up).
This was a big project, I for one didn’t appreciate how complicated it really was until the works progressed and yet your team has managed to deliver on every level, nothing was too much to ask, a solution was found to each problem however challenging, and everything has been executed to the highest standard. We would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Simply Loft to undertake any refurbishment project.
