Simply Loft were delighted to take on this rear dormer loft conversion in Tooting, Wandsworth. Rear dormer loft conversions are incredibly popular in London, especially if there is an option to extend out onto an L-section. This type of loft conversion can add lots more room to your property that is vital when living in the city. Our clients opted to have a roof terrace, which is increasingly popular in London over the past year in London.
Project Details
This particular conversion created two new bedrooms, one with an ensuite and the other which opened onto a roof terrace. The new roof terrace sat over the existing L-section of the house, whilst the second bedroom and ensuite filled the pre-existing dead loft space. Our surveyors are qualified experts that can advise you on different floor-plans and options for your loft space, that can keep in mind how much value you want to add to your property.

Roof Terrace & Bedrooms
The roof terrace is absolutely stunning, with the crystallised glass panels and bi-folding door into the bedroom. The mirror on the staircase reflects the light from the roof terrace bedroom beautifully, creating the illusion of a spacious hallway. We love the pale, neutral colours our clients have used to paint this room, with the wooden furnishings balancing out the room to create a natural ambience inside which carries out to the terrace. There are many options for what type of door would suit your room best, but the bi-folding door on this build is perfect for attracting lots of natural light and merging the inside with the outside. In this room there is a specially fitted wardrobe that fits under the sloping eave.
The second bedroom is across the stairway, opening up into a complete living space perfect for renting out to tenants. The room is beautifully designed with Velux skylights and a sash window, which invite lots of natural light into the room. The interior design is similar to the other bedroom, with natural wooden furnishings and neutral colours. The bed frame is low and fits under the sloping roof, next to hidden storage compartments built into the wall.

The Bathroom
The bathroom contrasts with the colour schemes in the other rooms, with a deep blue paint, that contrasts against the white tiling and beautiful pattern of the floor tiles. The houseplants in the bathroom continue the natural ambience created by the two bedrooms. All of our loft conversion projects are completed to a plastered finish, allowing you to be as creative as you like with your interior decorating. You can choose between white lights or warm lighting. In this bathroom, our clients have opted for warm lighting which makes the room feel relaxed and warmer.
