The Simply Loft team recently completed this rear and L-shaped dormer loft conversion on a home in Charlton, South East London. This loft conversion has provided this family with a child’s bedroom, an office, and a beautiful modern bathroom. At any point the office can also be redecorated into a bedroom, adding two bedrooms to the property in total. This will have added substantial value to this home in Charlton.

The main bedroom is situated in the rear dormer positioned over the main section of the house and has been decorated for use by their child. In the structure of the room, our clients chose to have in-built shelving, to compliment the natural shape of the loft level chimney breast. There is added storage in the eaves at the front of the property accessed by low level doors behind the dwarf wall. This is a great space for toys, Christmas decorations and any items you don’t use regularly.

In this main bedroom, there is a wide skylight which allows in plenty of natural light into the room. Natural light is important for any loft bedroom, especially for a child which has specific bedtimes and time to wake up in the morning. Our clients also chose a Juliet balcony to add more natural light into the room for their child. The wooden floating sink cabinet adds a natural element into this modern bathroom, to pair with the feature marble sink. The finished effect is a modern, classy bathroom.
