West London Loft Conversion Case Study
Our site surveyors determined a rear dormer loft conversion was the ideal option for our client’s home, creating a new bedroom and bathroom for this property based in Isleworth.
The main loft conversion bedroom has created a very spacious area for this Isleworth home. Opting for a combination of neutral colours with a darker green and grey creates a softer feel with the juxtaposition of a dramatic feature wall. Choosing a darker colour for a feature wall in your space injects a personal touch and is a great way of tailoring the space to your style and taste.
The darker green feature wall is complimented by the darker grey bedframe and the lighter grey carpet. Mixing these grey hues in your loft bedroom adds depth and dimension to the space, with the opportunity to pair these greys with almost any colour due to their neutral tones, you can explore your choices of accent colours. Our client has added a pop of colour with their bedding, opting for sheets that combine grey and yellow and are flattered with the two yellow pillows that stand out in the otherwise neutral room.
Casement windows have been installed above the bed, with two skylights installed on the opposite wall. The ensuite bathroom consists of a shower, toilet, and sink. The shower is spacious with an open stall, the glass shower door has been installed to create a barrier between shower and toilet. Thin tiles have been chosen for the shower’s interior, with darker and lighter colours of grey combined for a dramatic effect. An alcove has been installed within the shower to discreetly store toiletries; this prevents bottles of shampoo and bodywash from piling up on the shower floor, creating an untidy space. The shower includes a fitted showerhead and a handheld showerhead that can be manoeuvred for easier use.
A frosted casement window has been installed into our client’s loft conversion to allow for natural light and as important ventilation for the bathroom. The same tiling for the shower has been used for the splashback behind the sink for a clean look. Next to the sink, a heated towel rail has been installed into the wall for convenience.
