Brief: A rear and l-shaped dormer loft conversion to a mid-terraced home in Peckham, creating a new bedroom, bathroom and dressing room. Simply Loft also completed a refurbishment of a 1st floor bedroom.
Simply Loft was delighted to complete this rear and l-shaped dormer loft conversion in Peckham, Southeast London. Our surveyors determined a rear and l-shaped dormer loft conversion was the ideal choice to maximise space over two floors.
Our Southeast London clients clearly have an eye for design as their entire loft conversion has been styled beautifully, emitting a stylish, chic hotel feel. The first refurbished bedroom is a spacious room with a striking design. A patterned green leaf wallpaper has been used across the entire space and is complimented by the green and pink bedding. The pine wood floors offer a warm, cosy feel to the space while also flattering the bright colours.
A sash window has been installed next to the bed to allow natural light and airflow to the space. Sash windows are a classic installment that offers a timeless style. With two mounted bedside lights, the occupant has the option for a more ambient atmosphere in the evenings. A pendant light has also been fixed in the centre of the room above the bed. With the window and lights, the occupant has the choice of their lighting depending on their mood or task.
A new bathroom was created on the same floor as bedroom one. Our client opted for a green and pink colour scheme to match the bedroom, with green wood panels and pink tiles. The pine wood has extended across the entire floor, further enhancing the cosy, welcoming feel. Another sash window has been fitted for optimal ventilation and natural light. A feature corner of muted pink tiles adds texture and character to the bathroom and alcove within the tiles offers a space to store toiletries neatly, maintaining a clean aesthetic throughout the space.
At the top of this stylish Peckham property, the loft conversion we installed is home to the second bedroom and the dressing room. The second bedroom has a clean, cosy yet stylish aesthetic. A lighter wood flooring has been chosen to create a bright, open space, complimented by the muted pale pink walls. A panelled wall has been created behind the bed, fashioning a subtle feature to the room.
Two skylight windows have been installed into the eaves. Skylights offer a stunning addition to most loft conversions, allowing an influx of natural light and the option to ventilate the space with fresh air. Our client also opted for a Juliet balcony in the corner of their loft conversion with black industrial steel doors. This also adds natural light to the room with the opportunity to open the room to the outdoors without needing to shield from the elements.
Over the l-section part of this loft conversion, a small dressing room has also been added for the ultimate luxury and convenience. Built-in storage has been added to both sides of the room to maximise storage space. A curtain rail has also been installed to cover the entire contents of the storage spaces. This instantly maintains the clean aesthetic as any untidy clothing is hidden from sight.
A second bathroom has also been added to the loft conversion. A stylish wet room with distinctive tiles and a chic, hotel-feel, adds another shower and toilet to the London property. A stunning shower has been placed in the corner with a wonderful glass roof lantern directly above the showerhead. This provides the opportunity to shower under the sun and stars, flooding the bathroom in natural light to brighten the space. Another sash window has been installed above the toilet for further infiltration of natural light and as an important form of ventilation.
