Brief: A rear & L-shaped loft conversion for a mid-terraced house located in Southwark, South East London. This loft conversion project created two new bedrooms, one bathroom and a roof terrace. We were delighted to work with our clients in Southwark on the design and build of a loft conversion for their beautiful mid-terraced home in South East London. Our clients contacted us to request a free site survey and quote for the creation of a two-bedroom loft conversion with a bathroom and a roof terrace. Our architects at Simply Architects created the plans for this bright and airy loft conversion, which was then translated into reality by our team of expert builders. The master bedroom has been designed with relaxation and space in mind. The large Velux windows allow for ample natural light and fresh air to flood the bedroom space. Our clients have chosen a neutral palette of white and light brown for their bedrooms to create a feeling of space. The woven light brown carpet perfectly complements the white walls and skirting. Our clients chose classic wooden furniture, including a wooden bedframe and stylish chest of drawers.
The second bedroom is another lovely space, which has been designed as a guest bedroom. The stand-out feature of this room is the double patio doors, which lead out onto the roof terrace. The woven brown carpet and white walls have been continued into this bedroom to create a sense of flow throughout the whole loft conversion space. Our clients have put a daybed in this room, which is a great option for a guestroom. It can be used as a comfortable bed for visitors while being used as a sofa at other times. The under-bed storage is also a very useful feature of this daybed.
This fantastic roof terrace area has been made private with the use of high wooden paneling, which is both aesthetically pleasing and practical. The flooring of the roof terrace is a light wood decking, and our clients have decorated the space with a lovely red metal table and chairs and a handy storage box. The roof terrace is a wonderful addition to this loft conversion and gives our clients an outdoor area they can enjoy in the summer months.
The new staircase, which leads to the loft conversion, has been designed to exactly match our client’s original staircase. Our clients have chosen to use the same woven carpet and white walls, which match the rest of the loft conversion, creating a lovely flow and a light and airy feel to the entire space.
