Simply Loft were approached by our client at Chaldon Way to carry out the design and construction of a large loft conversion project in Coulsdon, South London. Once meeting with a Simply Loft surveyor, it was decided that a hip to gable loft combined with a rear dormer would be the most appropriate route forward for their style of property. These types of loft conversions are perfect for maximising all the space available.
The Simply Loft design team took all the necessary measurements and drew up an internal plan to layout all the rooms and the structural calculations required to carry them out. Once this was in place, submitted and approved by Croydon council, the construction team were able to set to work bringing the plans to life.
The first stage in the construction process, was to erect the required scaffolding so that the team could access the roof easily. Loft conversions are one of the easiest home improvements that can be added to a home as most of the work is carried out from the outside of a home. The build team, were then able to set to work building the structure of the loft roof.
The final stages consisted of all the internal work being completed, with first and second fix electrics and plumbing taking place, stud partitions going up and the bathroom fitted out. The finished bedroom also had a stunning glazed balcony installed with french doors opening in towards the bedroom area.
