Brief: To design and build a rear dormer loft conversion for our client’s mid-terrace property, creating two bedrooms and a bathroom.
After conducting a complimentary consultation at their residence on Arcadian Road in Haringey, North London, our architects identified that a rear dormer loft conversion would best suit the requirements for accommodating two bedrooms and a bathroom. The dedicated team at Simply Loft was delighted to undertake the design and construction of this impressive rear dormer loft conversion project for our clients in North London.
This stylish loft conversion is accessed via a newly constructed staircase which is in keeping with our client’s original staircase design. From the new landing space is access to the two bedrooms and bathroom.
The first bedroom has been tastefully decorated by our clients using a neutral colour palette. The soft pile carpet gives a warm and cosy feel to this bedroom. Our architects have carefully selected a casement window for this room which brings in ample natural light and fresh air. Our clients have chosen stylish shutters to dress the windows, giving them privacy and blocking out the natural light when required.
The bathroom, also accessed via the landing space, has been tastefully decorated with light grey wall tiles and contrasting darker grey floor tiles, creating a clean and elegant feel to the room. A skilful eye towards functionality and style is evidenced in the inclusion of a generously proportioned shower, sink, and vanity unit, expertly conceptualised by our architect. The heated towel rail is a great addition to this room, bringing funcationality and style to the space. Our architect has also chosen a casement window for the bathroom to bring in natural light and fresh air, the choice of frosted glass keeps the natural light coming into the room while adding privacy for our clients.
Our clients have decided to use the second bedroom space as an office and walk-in wardrobe. With the use of fitted, open wardrobes this space has been transformed into a functional yet aesthetically pleasing dressing room. The neutral colour palette adds a feel of spaciousness to the room which is further enhanced by the Velux windows. The home office desk sits just under the windows giving our clients the benefit of natural light and ventilation, making this an ideal space to focus away from the rest of the house.
