Brief: Our clients in Neville Close, Waltham Forest, London asked Simply Loft to design and build a rear dormer loft conversion to create a new space in thier home for an office and gym as well as a separate WC.
Upon our client’s request, we conducted a complimentary site visit to provide them with a free quote for a loft conversion. Their objective was to create a versatile space that could serve as a tranquil home office area as well as a dedicated space for enjoying music and working out. After carefully assessing their Southeast London residence, our surveyors suggested a rear dormer loft conversion as the most suitable solution. This conversion option would not only fulfill their spatial requirements but would also align with their budgetary considerations.
Our team of architects carefully crafted architectural plans to fully utilise the available dormer loft space. With the goal of turning our client’s vision into a reality, our architects designed a sophisticated room that boasts ample natural light and separate designated areas for a home office and a light relaxation space. Additionally, a brand-new WC was incorporated into the design.
The accompanying photos reveal the installation of a spacious floor-to-ceiling window at the forefront of the loft conversion. Within this lovely space, our clients have ingeniously crafted three distinctive areas. The first, a functional home office workstation, occupies the back corner of the room. Equipped with a desk and chair, it receives ample natural light while leaving the front of the loft conversion available for other activities. At the front, they have fashioned a serene spot featuring a generously sized, rounded lounging chair facing the expansive windows. From this vantage point, they can enjoy scenic views of the garden and surrounding area.
Opting for a large bookcase, our clients have achieved both an organised storage solution and an impressive display for their extensive collection of records. To add another dimension to the space, they have cleverly designated an area for workouts, complete with a yoga mat and weights. This additional space creates a delightful sanctuary for our clients to indulge in wellness activities.
The use of stylish tall radiators optimises the wall space and helps to create a clean look to the room. The walls and ceiling have been painted white to further enhance the lightness of the room. The neutral palette nicely contrasts with the warm-coloured wooden floor.
To enhance the visual appeal of the WC, our clients have opted for distinct tiles in contrasting colours for both the floor and walls. This deliberate choice results in a striking and one-of-a-kind appearance for the room. Additionally, they have selected a white sink accompanied by a vibrant-coloured tap, adding a touch of character to the space. To fulfill both functional and aesthetic aspects, our clients have also incorporated a chrome-coloured wall radiator that serves as a towel rail.
A meticulously installed staircase provides access to the entire space. Our team of experts ensured its seamless integration into the design. Notably, our clients decided to infuse vibrancy into the staircase by opting for coloured steps, transforming it into a standout feature of the area.
