Brief: Rear & L-shaped dormer loft conversion to a terraced house, adding two new bedrooms and a bathroom to this Greenwich, Southeast London home.
Following a free site survey conducted by one of our professional surveyors, it was determined a rear and L-shaped loft conversion was the optimal choice for our Southeast London, Greenwich clients. A rear and L-shaped loft conversion can be a fantastic way to add valuable living space to a home, specifically two bedrooms and a bathroom. This type of conversion maximises the available space by extending both the rear and side of the property, creating a versatile and functional layout.
A new loft conversion bedroom that doubles as an office and cinema room can be a versatile and multipurpose addition to any home. With the installation of two skylights, natural light floods the space, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere during the day. The inclusion of a fold-away bed, cleverly integrated into the wall, maximises the available space and allows for seamless transitions between various uses of the room. During the day, the room can serve as a functional and productive office space, providing a quiet and inspiring environment to work from home. A bespoke desk has also been installed to the side of the room, under the third window which offers further natural light, ideal for task lighting. In the evening, with the bed folded away, the room easily transforms into a cosy and comfortable cinema room, perfect for movie nights or relaxing entertainment. A built-in seated sofa has been installed under the skylights, along with a projector above head making it the perfect spot for watching a film under the night sky. This flexible design offers the convenience of having multiple functionalities in a single space, making the most of the loft conversion and enhancing the overall functionality and enjoyment of the home.
The second bedroom is much simpler than the first, with one casement window letting in natural light to this room that would be ideal for a guest room. Large enough to host a double bed and still have floor space, the second bedroom focuses on functionality and simplicity. A built-in, bespoke bench has also been seamlessly installed to the wall, offering a bench to perch on, or a functional storage space for décor to amplify the room.
The loft conversion bathroom has been installed at the top of the landing, in between the two new bedrooms for optimal convenience to both occupants. Adding a small bathroom with a toilet, shower, and sink to your loft conversion is a practical and convenient addition that enhances the functionality and comfort of the space. This small bathroom provides essential amenities and saves you the trouble of having to venture downstairs during the night or early mornings. This small bathroom not only adds convenience, but also increases the overall value and usability of the loft conversion, making it an excellent investment.
