Most recently Simply Loft completed a stunning South London loft, with a front and rear mansard loft conversion on Bennerley Road in Clapham. This build created a new living space, office, bathroom and roof terrace! The living space has been beautifully decorated to be a relaxing meditative space, equipped with meditation area, easel for artwork and a reading corner. This meditative space opens up into the roof terrace, a beautiful spacious area with a chiminea, perfect for gathering with friends on colder evenings or cool summer nights.
Another beautiful loft conversion we have completed in South London is a rear dormer on Scholars Road in Balham. The pale pink colour scheme is delicate and relaxing, with lots of natural light coming in through the VELUX skylights – a popular choice of window in the loft conversions we construct. The space we created was multi-functional, with space for a desk and chair under the skylights to allow our clients to have a guest bedroom that could double up as an office space too. Our Simply Loft surveyors managed to fit in a stunning en-suite bathroom in this loft conversion, showing that a rear dormer can add all the space you could possibly need to your property!
A lot of our clients decide to invest in a loft conversion in order to gain more space for a new addition to the family, and this children’s bedroom on Burnbury Road was perfect for our client’s family. This particular loft conversion comprised of two window dormers as the maisonette is located in a conservation area, limiting the extent of construction work. We love the creative shelving that has been built into the walls, and the natural slope of the eaves creates a fun space for the children to play in. We also designed and built a bathroom to compliment the new bedroom, making it a complete space for the children to live in.
Finally, we completed a rear and L-shaped dormer on a terraced property on Leonard Road in Streatham. We designed and built two new bedrooms and a bathroom, which our clients decorate with brilliant taste. The main bedroom has a dark feature wall which is complimented by the mustard bedframe and two skylights that bring in the natural light. The en-suite shower room is perfectly sized and fitted with a casement window to lighten up the dark blue colour scheme. We love how every inch of the space has been used in this loft conversion, adding much needed space to smaller South London properties.
